January 28

The Wait - They do this every night. Roger is in the pantry getting their food. Normally I feed them at night, but I had to take the photo. If you look closely, you can see Tucker in the bottom right corner.

January 27

Women in Flight - We had dinner at LaPerla in support of Women in Flight. They get 50% of the proceeds and we get 100% of the deliciousness.

January 26

Hook Us Up - All the prep work is done. It’s time to flip the switch and enter the 21st century.

January 25

Misty Morning - Another photo of our ever changing view.

January 24

More Internet Prep - I want internet everywhere around here.

January 23

Sentinel- Luka sits like this for longs stretches of time. He acts as if he is the master of all that he sees. He’s rather regal.

January 22

Rocky Road to the Internet - The cable company has to dig trenches to get the cable to our house. Of course it can’t be a straight line.

January 21

Re-reading - I’m re-reading this great book. It makes a lot of sense.

January 20

New Adventures in Exercise - I joined a new gym. It’s so different from anything I’ve done before. It’s harder than it looks. I’m working parts I didn’t know I even had.

January 19

Profile - I needed to take a profile photo to complete an art project. I had to post this photo, because I didn’t take any other pictures today. I’m not a fan of this photo at all.

January 18

Gillian’s Wedding Shower Post Party - We stopped by the post party to meet some of her family. Lucky Staehly’s Pool Hall is a fun place to hang out.

January 17

Dinner at Agate Alley - The Brussels sprouts, Brie and Pork Belly was delicious.

January 16

Dog Towels - It is a bit of a challenge keeping our floors clean in the rainy season. We wipe the dogs’ paws before we let them into the house. George is not a fan of getting his paws wiped, which results in a bit of a workout for both of us. Even though Luka is bigger, he is much more cooperative. We wash a lot of towels.

January 15

Stunning - You might notice that I love sunrises, sunsets, and landscapes. This morning’s display was especially good. I took this photo with my iPhone.

January 14

Dude - We are trying CBD oil to see it it helps Charlie’s arthritis. This stuff is liquid gold. $38.99 for one ounce! So far, he hasn’t experienced the munchies.

January 13

The internet is coming! The internet is coming! - We live in a somewhat rural area. We have lived here 4 1/2 years without decent internet.  I am beyond excited to move into this century. They have to dig some trenches, so it will be a few weeks, but we’ve waited this long, I think we can handle a few more weeks.

January 12

Another prototype - I’m making a set of “Thank You” cards as a gift.  This is one of a few designs I’m working on.

January 11

Duplicate Purchase - I must have really liked this stencil. I bought it twice.  I hate when I do that. I bought it online, so it’s not worth the time or effort to return it.

January 10

Power Outage - Roger was out with his friends. I was settling in for a cozy night of watching tv. The power went out around 7:30 pm.  At about 8 pm. I decided to go to bed. I was just about asleep when the dogs started barking like crazy, because the lights magically came on.  Now what? I just went back to bed. By they way, I did not leave the candle burning. That would be just dumb.

January 9

Damn Ankle - Whatever is creating problems in my ankle flared up today. Grr. Ice and Advil. Repeat.

January 8

Obligatory Food Photo - I attended a work function at the Oregon Electric Station. The oysters were great, however the salmon was awful. It was almost not edible. There is no excuse for overcooking salmon.  Thank goodness they didn’t overcook the oysters. Oh wait, they’re raw. Never mind.

January 7

Learning Something New - I mentioned in a previous post that I am taking an online art class. Writing with Bombay Ink and a bamboo pen is part of my first lesson. I was a bit intimidated and I’m  not sure why. With a little practice, I was able to write just fine.  I am no calligraphist, but I can see why people like it.

January 6

New Socks - One of life’s little pleasures.

January 5

New Dog Tags - George and Luka needed new tags. They are literally “dog tag” shaped dog tags.

January 4

Brussel Sprouts - My new favorite veggie.

January 3

A beautiful Sunrise - a beautiful start to the day, but our time on the coast has come to an end. Until next time...

January 2

Front Row Seat - Our campsite is right on the water. The Coast Guard conducted a little exercise right in front of us.

January 1

Rose Bowl Feast - We watched the Rose Bowl while we were glamping, snacks included.

December 31

Crabbing - Roger used his new crab pot to catch us some snacks.
