December 30

My Happy Place - My trip to the coast was delayed by a day, but I was rewarded with a nap and this view.

December 29

Bath time - Do you think Tucker likes baths?

December 28

Zac and Gillian - My son and his beautiful fiancé came for a quick post Christmas visit.

December 27

Lucky me - I never get tired of this view. This one is from my art studio.

December 26

Homeward Bound - Our quick trip to California is coming to an end. Our early morning drive afforded us some spectacular scenery.  This is Mt Shasta.

December 25

Christmas at the Chang’s - we celebrated Christmas with Roger’s family. His sister has four grandchildren under 5 years old. This photo was taken prior to the chaos. Christmas really is for kids.

December 24

Christmas Eve - we got to spend Christmas Eve morning with Brandi, Donny and the boys. They are showing off one of the gifts we gave them.

December 23

Birthday Boy - So happy to be able to celebrate birthday number eight with Archer.

December 22

California Bound - When traveling  this time of year, there is always a risk of encountering bad weather. We expected bad weather in Oregon, and the weather was great. This is what we experienced in California. We have all wheel drive, so no problem.

December 21

Found em - We have been looking for these spare keys for quite some time. It’s a little nerve wracking to not know where they were.  I just happened to look in the umbrella basket, and there they were.

December 20

Vintage Arcade - We joined some friends at Blair Ally Vintage Arcade tonight. Many of their arcade games are free. They make their money on drinks.  Tons of fun!

December 19

Hi - My little sign that welcomes people to my office. I inked it up myself.

December 18

Luka by the fire - That spot is reserved for Charlie, but somehow Luka nabbed it.

December 17

Exercising my demons - I think it might take more than 3 miles and 45 minutes to do that.

December 16

Cover Up - My shed is getting a porch. It’s a night picture, because I leave for work in the dark and get home in the dark. Ahh winter.

December 15

That’s a wrap - That mess on the dining table is now a jumble of gifts on the chair and floor.

December 14

Not really a fortune - It’s more of an observation.

December 13

Christmas Tradition - I’m not sure how old this tradition is, but it’s a good one.

December 12

Gift pile - The dining room table has become the repository for Christmas gifts. I have some wrapping to do.

December 11

Flowers just because. Thank you honey!

December 10

Orthodontist - I need a new retainer and maybe a few adjustments. 😬

December 9

Not milk? - It is not milk. Irish Cream on the rocks is a favorite of mine this time of year (or any time of year)

December 8

Tree Lights - These cute tea little light holders are made of paper. Shh. Don’t tell anyone, but they are super easy to make.

December 7

Oh Joy- I finished my Christmas cards today. I saw that the light created a little shadow in the card and thought it was photo worthy.

December 6

Suppertime - Feeding 4 dogs is a production. Roger says the dogs love me. I say it’s only because I feed them.

December 5

Anticipation - I get a little excited when I see a lock on our parcel box. It means a package has arrived. One time, some miscreant put the lock on for kicks. I was disappointed and annoyed when I found it empty, even though, I knew I wasn’t expecting anything. Who does that?

December 4

Lighting up the shed - My sweet husband put lights on my studio. Lovely.

December 3

HQ - HQ is a live trivia game that I play on my phone almost daily. I’ve won less a than a dollar, but I’m not in it for the money. When a lot of people get a question wrong, it’s called a “Savage Question”.

December 2

Audible - One of my favorite pastimes is listening to audiobooks. Audiobooks go well with crafting. I also like to listen at night. It’s like having someone read me a bedtime story. My favorites are books read by people with accents. I also will admit to listening to my favorites over and over. This is my current book. I really like this story and, of course the accents. This is technically not a photo, but a screenshot instead. Well, it’s my blog. My rules.

December 1

Inky Fingers - I made a lot of progress on my Christmas cards today and here is proof.

November 30

Excellent Seat - I could have gone to the Civil War game. It was a bit too cold, so I decided to cuddle up on the couch and watch it from home. Go Ducks!

November 29

No Special Effects - This photo looks black and white, but it is not. It’s an early morning shot from our deck. It’s been below freezing for a few days, which makes for some pretty photos.

November 28

Fancy Cocktail - Nothing like a fancy cocktail to add to Thanksgiving dinner. This one is a Pomegranate Paloma. Delicious and pretty.

November 27

Pre-Black Friday Sale - I saw some craft supplies on sale online.  I want all of the colors. I don’t have all the colors. I took a picture to make sure I don’t buy anything I already have, which is something with which I have a little experience.

November 26

Text Message - Roger and I often communicate with photos.  Today he asked if we had marinara sauce. By sending him the photo, there is no chance of misunderstanding. He can decide whether he wants to use this or something else. Marriage hacks.

November 25

Christmas Lights - Roger put up some Christmas lights this weekend. I took a few photos. This out-of- focus photo was the most interesting.

November 24

Quality time in the “studio” - I spent a few hours creating this year’s Christmas card. No advanced sneak peeks of the final version.

November 23

Thank You card - I made this card for my sister. I tried to copy the quilt she made for me (see November 6)

November 22

Dinner at Novo - We finally made it to Novo Latin Table. It was exceptional.  We shared enchiladas,  tacos carnitas and guacamole & chips . The Sinaloa Poloma was also excellent.  The restaurant is a little spendy, but so worth it. We will be back soon.

November 21

Fire? No, the sun peeking through the smoke stacks at International Paper.

November 20

Fair Warning - I found this graffiti on a rail car today. I promise I will stay out. I have no desire to climb into this, or any other, rail car.

November 19

A Glimpse of a Rainbow - It looks like colorful smoke at the base of the trees.

November 18

Modern Communication- Roger and I communicate in photos. This light in the kitchen needed to be replaced. I sent him the photo and he picked a new bulb on his way home.

November 17

I love this face - Wolfgang did not want his photo taken.

November 16

Party Prep - Kim is helping me get ready for the party. I was so busy having fun that I didn’t take any photos during the actual party.

November 15

Yeti In My Spaghetti - A great way to spend my birthday.

November 14

I almost forgot - This is what happens when I wait until the last minute to take a photo. I get another boring photo. I’m heading to Sacramento for the weekend to visit some friends. I hope my weekend is more interesting than my photo.

November 13

Portrait Lens - My sweet husband gave me an early birthday gift. This portrait lens allows additional light in and produces amazing pictures. I really like this close up of a George.
